Terms of use

This page is not finished: our registered business name and ABN still have to go in. Everything else on it is accurate.

Who you are dealing with

tellstory.kids is run by [BUSINESS NAME], ABN [ABN], from Adelaide, South Australia. You can reach a person any time at hello@tellstory.kids.

What you get

Four illustrated takes of your child, free, before you decide anything. If you buy, a printable PDF picture book with your child as the hero, emailed to you — usually within ten minutes, or within 24 hours if you asked for a custom story, because a person writes those. The download link stays live for 30 days.

What you agree to

That you are the child’s parent or guardian and may upload their photo. One child per book. Please do not upload a photo of somebody else’s child, or anything that is not a photo of a child.

What you may do with the book

It is yours. Read it, print it as often as you like at home or at a print shop, and give copies to family. What you may not do is sell it, or sell prints of it. The story templates and the art styles themselves stay ours.

When we will say no

We may refuse or stop an order if the photo is not of a child, if we do not believe you are the child’s parent or guardian, or if what is asked for is unlawful or harmful. If we refuse you pay nothing, and anything already paid comes back in full.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Where there is a major failure you may choose a refund or a replacement, and that choice is yours rather than ours. Nothing here limits those rights, and neither do the courtesy windows we offer on top of them.

If something goes wrong

What we owe you on an order is limited to what you paid for it, or to putting it right by redoing or refunding it. Nothing in this paragraph touches the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply whatever these terms say.

Changes, and which law applies

We may change these terms. The version on this page when you order is the one that governs that order. These terms are governed by the law of South Australia.
